Home Dancer

With the whole world reeling in from the devastation of the COVID 19 pandemic, most of our beloved shows have resorted to airing older episodes due to restrictions on filming. As more and more shows are shifting towards the virtual scene, online streaming platforms are at an all time high. Home Dancer is an Indian virtual dancing reality web series that is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from May 2020.The show follows a very simple concept. Participants will have to record their dancing skills and upload it on the official website. Judges will shortlist the top ten performances and showcase them on the show. With two episodes per week, participants can send in multiple entries to increase their chances of winning. The final winner will, however, be chosen based on the viewers’ votes at the end of the episode.
Here are a few of the steps that you need to follow to send in your entries.
• Select songs from the official Home Dancer Library to perform on. In total there are 15 tracks to choose from.
• Make sure your smartphone is in landscape orientation while filming your performance.
• Make sure you keep a 5-second gap at the beginning and the end of your performance.
• Make sure that the background is clear and free from clutter.
• Film in a well-lit environment.
• Total duration should be between 60 to 90 seconds.
• Do not use filters while filming.
Deviating from the above points might lead to disqualification of the entry.
The performances will be judged by none other than the glamourous Jacqueline Fernandez and the show will be hosted by popular TV host Karan Wahi.
